September 9rd release "Kasouken no Onna -Theatrical Version-" release commemoration! Yasuko Sawaguchi ×Mr. Kei Koga"Recollection of Trace Department Research Institute Forensic Researcher"
Special talk

Special talk between Yasuko Sawaguchi and Kei Koga

From "Kasouken no Onna -Theatrical Version-"

The national drama "Kasouken no Onna" has been a long-running hit for over 1999 years since its broadcast in 20.This work, in which researchers at the Scientific Research Institute (commonly known as Kasouken), including the main character Mariko Sakaki, solve difficult cases in their respective fields of expertise, and a full-scale police suspense that depicts the forefront of criminal investigation on the stage of Kasouken. A gorgeous collaboration that transcends the boundaries of the media of "Recollections of Researcher of Forensic Researcher, Trace" (hereinafter "Trace") has been realized!Yasuko Sawaguchi, who plays the main character Mariko, and Kei Koga, the author of the manga "Trace" and a unique background of Kasouken no Onna, talked about their thoughts on the work and the reality of Kasouken no Onna.

I heard that Professor Koga has always been a big fan of "Kasouken no Onna".How was it when you actually watched the movie?

Koga:
Really it was interesting! From the scene of the fall incident at the beginning, I was always thrilled.Mariko is still so rough in pursuit of the truth (laughs). The last shocking scene of Mariko was really thrilling, "What happened !?"After all, I was able to sympathize with the scene of Mr. Kazeoka's insertion.Even when I was actually working at Kaken, I sometimes get sweets from the detectives, but everyone is hungry, so it's a first-come-first-served basis (laughs).
Sawaguchi:
Is it because you are all focused on your research?Maybe I'm too busy to eat properly?
Koga:
It's a regular workplace, so everyone eats properly at noon.On top of that, he also eats sweets (laughs).
Sawaguchi:
So that's it~.Is that so.
Koga:
Speaking of this movie, the scene of appraisal at SPring-8 (* a large experimental facility that can use the world's highest performance synchrotron radiation) is also very interesting. It seems that you actually shot at the SPring-8 facility.
Sawaguchi:
This time, I didn't go to SPring-8, but by saying that I was able to rent an actual place, it brought a lot of reality to the work.

I'm also worried about the change in the relationship between Mariko and Domon, who have been teaming up for many years.

Koga:
I've been watching it since the drama, so I'm wondering what will happen to the two of us in the future.
Sawaguchi:
For Mariko, Mr. Domon is a close business partner. With each incident, the feelings of mutual trust and respect increase, and I feel that the bond is gradually deepening.Probably, I don't think it will develop into a love affair in the future, but since it is a compassionate partner in Mariko, it may make everyone who sees it sick.

The new forensic researcher who appears in the manga "Trace" is named Sawaguchi. Is there any part that inspired you from the drama?

Sawaguchi:
I also wanted to ask the teacher about this!My surname is actually rare, so I was a little surprised.
Koga:
While drawing manga with the theme of Kasouken, I think that the work "Kasouken no Onna" is absolutely inevitable. If that's the case, there are also characters named Sawaguchi-san and Mariko, but with their appearance, I'd like to make them a reader service.
Sawaguchi:
It's was so.It looks like my alter ego.
Koga:
The fact that "Kasouken no Onna" must take care of entertainment as well as scientific correctness is very helpful in drawing manga.

Mariko and Mano, the main character of "Trace", have a lot in common, and I think it's a point that fascinates those who see them pursuing the truth thoroughly.

Sawaguchi:
Mariko is always a positive person who never gives up.Like Edison, he has a spirit that never gives up trying to find the truth even if he fails 1 times.I wonder if the people around me will be driven by that pure passion.
Koga:
I think everyone will follow Mariko because they have a strong will to reveal the truth.
Sawaguchi:
Well, in the end, I wonder if that passion will be transmitted to the people around me.
Koga:
Mariko doesn't drag her feelings.A huge number of incidents occur every day, and if you hurt your heart each time, you will lose yourself. When I'm busy, I get more than 100 appraisal requests a day.In that sense, I think people like Mariko are suitable for scientists.
Sawaguchi:
As many as 100 cases a day ...!
Koga:
Researchers will divide it and appraise it.Since we specialize in each specialty, there aren't many places for everyone to meet like the Kaseiken team.

It seems that the number of female researchers who are longing for such Mariko and aiming for a research institute is increasing.

Sawaguchi:
I have more opportunities to receive letters saying that I am aiming for a research institute. In fact, I also watched a drama and talked with a woman who entered the Kaseiken.
Koga:
Women who belong to Kasouken are always said to be "Kasouken no Onna!" (Laughs). There are many men in physics, but the number of women is increasing in the same medical examiner as Mariko. When I was working at Kaseiken, all my colleagues were watching dramas, so during breaks I was excited to talk about "that machine is amazing, isn't it?"

I once again feel the influence of "Kasouken no Onna", but how does Mr. Sawaguchi perceive this situation?

Sawaguchi:
At the beginning of the broadcast, it started with "What is the Scientific Research Institute?", And it continued for such a long time. I am very happy that I was able to give.It is also the real pleasure of doing this work.
Koga:
Finally, I have a question.I've always wanted to ask, but what do you think "justice" is for Mariko, who has solved the case in science?
Sawaguchi:
The first is to reveal the truth. At first, I believed in science all at once, but now Mariko has grown up to have a spirit of hating sin and not hating people.
Koga:
There is a change in Mariko ...!
Sawaguchi:
Having played Mariko for over 20 years, I feel that I have grown up as both a woman and a human being. That is also the fun of playing the role.
