Under the slogan "Let's bring smiles to Kumamoto with manga," we held the "Reconstruction Assistance 2017 1st Kumamoto International Manga Festival."

At the time of the event, we are looking for works with the theme of "smile".From all over the world, 209 silent manga without dialogue and 551 illustrations were collected.Crossing words and borders, works filled with the feelings of people all over the world, "I want to bring a smile to Kumamoto," were lined up at the venue.

In addition, many manga artists sent colored papers to support Kumamoto at the main venue in Kumamoto City.

Thanks to the support of the local Kumamoto and the many visitors, the event is still held once a year.
