Our representative, Horie, was interviewed by NHK "News Watch 9"

Today, May 5th, our representative Horie was interviewed at NHK "News Watch 24" after the Yokozuna / Kisenosato Yutaka Grand Sumo Tournament was closed.Here are some excerpts from the comments made at that time.

 

―――― How do you perceive the holidays?

How long will you fight injured?I was looking at it, so I'm a little relieved.I think it was the responsibility of Yokozuna to continue to participate.All wrestlers raise their bodies and rise to the ring, so they cannot fight unless they are in perfect condition.I think it was rude to fight against the opponent who was not perfect.Still, I think it's a glorious holiday to continue playing the fight.

 

―――― How did you feel about the place where you gave the make-up mawashi?

It was full of drama and I was impressed.Takayasu Seki gave me Kenshiro's Mawashi as a swordsman, but it seemed as if my brother Raoh (Kisenosato Yutaka) had entrusted his thoughts to his younger brother Kenshiro (Takayasu).

 

―――― How did you feel when you first saw a sumo wrestler wearing a manga make-up mawashi?

Three people wearing Fist of the North Star fight on the ring ... That's really nice.I felt like the world of Hokuto and the world of sumo were united.I don't feel like drawing a drama in which reality exceeds Hokuto.I'm sure there will be dramas that we can't think of on the ring.

 

―――― Did you feel any change in Kisenosato Yutaka after becoming a yokozuna?

I feel that the atmosphere has changed a little since I became a yokozuna.It seems that the actions on the ring are also standing in a state of nothingness, and I think that such an expression is remarkable after becoming a yokozuna.In an era when the words of responsibility and pride are fading, Kisenosato Yutaka makes it easy to understand.I dare to carry a burden that I wouldn't normally think of.The bigger the luggage on your back, the cooler the man will be.In that sense, I think I'm becoming a "cool guy."I am looking forward to his life as a yokozuna.

 

―――― What do you expect from Kisenosato Yutaka?

I have some time, so anyway, I want you to be completely healed.The story of Yokozuna and Kisenosato Yutaka has just begun.First of all, I want you to think about your body first.

―――― How did you make Kisenosato Yutaka into a manga?

I'm still a manga shop, so I thought it would be easier to express in manga than to talk about various things.Kisenosato Yutaka also said "I like it".

Cartoons make pictures of what you see with your heart's eyes.In the supervision, Tetsuo Hara also said, "I want to express that body because it has a huge amount of muscles," and draws it more muscular than a normal wrestler.

 

―――― What kind of place do you recommend?

The words of the predecessor's master, such as "Be lonely if you get stronger," "The scenery you see changes when you become a yokozuna," and "Sweat from your heart," appear everywhere.Kisenosato Yutaka has been following that teaching.

 

―――― What are your thoughts on this manga?

Kisenosato Yutaka didn't talk about his feelings during the efforts on the 13th and 14th days after he was injured on the 15th day.I heard that I want to pull it out somehow.

I think that humanity comes out depending on how people behave when they are forced into a difficult situation.How did he feel overnight when he was forced to choose between pulling and attacking?I hope you can feel what it means to have a bold heart.

I think that this holiday and injury will be a good sharpness of the drama of Yokozuna and Kisenosato Yutaka.I'm sure Kisenosato Yutaka will draw a nice drama after that.
