Basic policy on job-hunting harassment

Our company (including our group companies; the same applies hereinafter) is committed to creating a safe and fair environment for job seekers (hereinafter referred to as "job seekers, etc.") who will lead the next generation of the entertainment and publishing industries, by not tolerating any inappropriate behavior that takes advantage of superior position (job-hunting harassment).

1. Definition of Job Hunting Harassment

This refers to any actions or demands made by our officers and employees (including all related parties such as interviewers, internship coordinators, and alumni contact persons; the same applies hereinafter) that abuse their superior position in any aspect of the job-seeking process, including recruitment and internships, and that harm the dignity of job seekers.

2. Examples of actions that constitute job-hunting harassment

This includes, but is not limited to, the following actions:

  • Unnecessary questions or comments regarding sexual and personal matters (such as asking if the person is in a relationship)
  • Acts of pressuring someone into meals, dating, or sexual relations.
  • Unnecessary physical contact
  • Abusive language, intimidating behavior, remarks that deny a person's character, loud reprimands
  • Personal communication outside of work using social media, etc.
  • Forcing candidates to decline offers from other companies or unfairly pressuring them to accept job offers (Owahara - job offer harassment)

3. Code of Conduct in Recruitment Activities

  • Interviews during the recruitment process will be limited to our company offices or public locations (such as university facilities or public commercial facilities).
  • As a general rule, meals related to recruitment activities should be held during the daytime, and meals involving alcohol are prohibited.
  • All communication between company officers and employees and job seekers will be conducted via company email addresses and work-issued mobile phones. Officers and employees will not exchange or communicate using personal social media accounts or private email addresses.

4. Our Initiatives and Structure

We will conduct training on preventing job-hunting harassment for all officers and employees involved in recruitment, aiming to cultivate correct knowledge and ethical awareness.

(Strict punishment)

If any instances of job-hunting harassment by our officers or employees are confirmed, we will take strict action, including disciplinary measures, in accordance with our employment regulations and internal rules.
