"Somali and the Forest God" will be made into a TV animation in the fall of 2019!

"Somali and the Forest God" (Yako Kureishi), which is serialized in "WEB Comic Zenyon", will be made into a TV animation in the fall of 2019!

 

"Somali and the Forest God" is a fantasy work that depicts the bond between parents and children.

A world in which humans who lost the conflict in ancient times were on the verge of extinction and were dominated by strange creatures.The forest god "Golem" and the human daughter Somali have a mysterious encounter in the forest.Somali calls the golem a "dad," and the parent-child journey begins on that day.Golem devotes all his little remaining time to life for Somali, who innocently admires himself as his father, and seeks out Somali's parents.The father-daughter bond that deepens during the trip, the growth of a young Somali cat, and the golem that should have no emotions become "parents".Many readers have expressed sympathy and excitement for the new parent-child love drawn in the fantasy world.

The anime "Somali and the Forest God" will be starred by Inori Minase (role of Somari) and Daisuke Ono (role of Golem), and directed by Kenji Yasuda, who worked on "Macross △" and "Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens".
